For Organizations

Support works better when it fits the people it is meant to serve.

An organization may offer useful support that participants struggle to access, apply or sustain. The next decision could concern the support itself, its timing, the delivery process or the evidence available. Ethnoir works with organizations that support entrepreneurs to examine these questions and translate what they learn into practical changes.

Who this is for

Entrepreneurship-support organizations, universities, foundations, nonprofits, public agencies and others whose programs, funding or resources shape how people start, run or change a business. You do not need to be a business.

Questions organizations bring

What are the founders we serve dealing with, and how does that compare with what our support assumes?

Where do people get confused, drop out or struggle to apply what is offered?

Would a change to the support, its sequence or its delivery process address the issue?

When might a referral be appropriate, and what would make the handoff workable?

What evidence would help us decide what to retain, change or stop?

What an agreed engagement could produce

Depending on the question, available evidence and agreed scope, the work could produce:

—Decision brief

A short decision brief setting out the question, findings, evidence gaps and recommended next steps.

—Participant journey map

A map of the participant journey, showing where needs, entry requirements, activities or handoffs may not align.

—Revised support outline & workflow

A revised support outline or delivery workflow, including activities, materials, responsibilities and referral handoffs where relevant.

—Measurement and follow-up plan

A measurement and follow-up plan defining what to examine, when and how findings will inform decisions.

An initial conversation establishes the question, fit and possible scope. Substantive analysis, design, implementation and written deliverables belong in a separately agreed engagement. The appropriate response may be a change to an existing service, a clearer handoff, a revised support sequence or a new founder-facing program.

Why examine support fit

Examining support fit gives an organization a clearer basis for deciding where to focus staff time, funding and specialist input.

Relevance

Examine whether the support offered addresses the situations and priorities of the people expected to use it.

Usability

Consider whether timing, entry requirements, workload and handoffs make the support practical to access and apply.

Decision-making

Define what evidence will help the organization decide what to retain, adjust or stop.

The Venture Readiness Lab

In 2026 Ethnoir designed and delivered a six-week pilot for founders. Six active founders reached the final session. Five had structural business deliverables that Ethnoir’s Founder reviewed and confirmed.

The Lab shows how Ethnoir connected a shared learning sequence with practical work on each founder’s business. The case explains the design, delivery, participant-created outputs and evidence.

Experience behind the work

Ethnoir is led by Olajumoke Michael, whose experience includes program implementation with Bpeace and regional program leadership at the Winston-Salem Women’s Business Center. As U.S. Program Manager for Bpeace’s Breaking the $1M Barrier program, she coordinated delivery across North Carolina and Georgia, created guidance for coaches and facilitators, designed and facilitated peer-learning sessions, and shaped onboarding and Showcase preparation. At the Women’s Business Center, she led programming, fundraising, partnerships and improvements to client-service and reporting systems.

Working with Ethnoir

Start with the question you need to resolve.

Ethnoir works with organizations on how entrepreneurship support is designed, delivered and improved. Bring a question about participant needs, access, delivery or measurement. You do not need a finished project brief.

Tell us what needs attention

Describe who your support serves, what is proving difficult and the decision you need to make.

Explore the fit

Together, we clarify the question, the information available and where Ethnoir could contribute.

Define the next step

If there is a fit, we agree on the scope, deliverables, responsibilities, timing and fees before substantive work begins.
